Codex was delighted to partner once again with a long-standing customer space. Having successfully collaborated on several projects in the past, the organisation entrusted our team to create a modern, efficient, and visually cohesive workplace that supports both focused individual work and collaborative team engagement.

The project aimed to maximise the available space while maintaining a sense of openness, comfort, and flow throughout the office. By carefully balancing functionality and aesthetics, we ensured the environment remained welcoming, productive, and adaptable to future needs.

Codex faced the challenge of increasing desk capacity within the existing footprint without creating a crowded or restrictive environment. The layout needed to respect the structural limitations of the space while still providing clear, defined working zones and collaborative areas.

Maintaining a sense of openness and flexibility was critical to support the organisation’s evolving ways of working. Achieving this balance required careful planning, creative problem-solving, and expert space management from our team.

To begin the process, Codex arranged a comprehensive on-site consultation to fully assess the space and understand the customer’s operational and aesthetic requirements. Megan Bracken, Furniture Project Lead, and Keith McEvoy, Furniture Specialist, led this phase, bringing combined expertise to ensure every detail received careful consideration from the outset.

A strong focus was placed on collaboration and communication. Megan and Keith worked closely with the team to explore design preferences, including colour palette, layout ambitions and storage requirements. Based on this feedback, the Codex Furniture & Design team developed a series of detailed floorplans and realistic 3D renders. These visuals provided clarity and confidence, allowing the customer to clearly envisage how the finished space would look and function.

The final solution centred around the installation of premium height-adjustable desks, selected for their ergonomic benefits and sleek, modern design. Each workstation was supported by cable management baskets for a clean and organised finish, under-desk mobile pedestals for secure personal storage, and front and side privacy screens to define individual spaces without sacrificing the open-plan design.

To further enhance functionality, Codex supplied a combination of high and low storage units, offering flexibility while maintaining visual flow across the workspace. In dedicated collaborative areas, the organisation opted for Codex pods, tailored to their specific requirements. These thoughtfully designed pods create adaptable, sound-managed environments that empower focused work, private calls and small group collaboration.

Throughout every stage of the project, our team maintained clear and consistent communication. While the layout underwent several refinements to achieve the best possible outcome, the combined efforts of the Codex specialists and the customer ensured efficient progress and seamless experience. Wherever possible, products prioritised sustainability and longevity.

Codex handled the installation with precision, carefully coordinating scheduling, logistics, and on-site work. Thanks to thorough planning and attentive oversight, the team finished ahead of schedule, allowing the refreshed workspace to be occupied sooner than planned.
